We will go to great lengths for our coffee in this city, and we pick our coffeehouses with pride, based on a complicated algorithm of availability of free wi-fi, comfiness of chairs, deliciousness of brew and whether or not it’s still “underground” enough for you to actually find a place to sit and veg for a while. But what if the comfiness and wi-fi was entirely up to you, but the coolness and the caffeine was brought by some of the best?
That’s what’s brewing at Rattletrap, Atlanta’s first coffee truck, which will actually be stationary when it opens on Wednesday, tucked into the parking lot behind Emory Village. You’ll know it by the fact that it’s an ‘82 VW Westfalia van that serves piping hot macchiatos, lattes and more. Remember the spot, too–come the new year, you’ll find their new indoor coffee shop, the Steady Hand Pour House, open right there in the old Octane spot.
In the meantime, follow the van on Twitter to see if they ever start to make the rounds. And start dreaming of the perfect cup of coffee pulling up to the door of your office building one day.
