In response to the success of last year’s Liberty of London collaboration, Target is working with Calypso St. Barth for a full lifestyle collection slated for a May 1 launch. Although photos have not yet been released, editors at Racked NY were impressed with the fabrics, embroidery, beading and sequins, crocheted lace and grosgrain piping. Fabrics are heavy on the tie-dye and wood block prints and are mostly made from cotton voile, but there are some confirmed pieces that feature real silk and linen. Clothes range from $19.99 to $49.99, including tunics and flowing dresses. (Plus-sizes will be available online and go up to $79.99.)
Accessories ($9.99 to $49.99) are heavy on the beachy themes, according to WWD, which reports: “Sea-themed jewelry includes necklaces with coral-shaped branches, sun dollars and tiny fake seed pearls.” Hair accessories, beach totes, flip-flops and canvas espadrilles have been reported.
Selections for the home feature more tie-dye as well as elephant prints, covering everything from plates and silverware to candles to decorative pillows. Prices for home items go as low as $3.50 and up to $59.99.
Swimwear and lingerie are also part of the lifestyle collaboration, as well as clothing for girls and babies (expects lots of crocheted lace).
