Linea Pelle decided to bring its high-end leather designs to the masses by making them out of overdyed PVC and selling them at Target for $35 or less. Spotted around the city on endcaps in the handbag sections, the LPLP Linea Pelle looks aren’t quite flying off the shelves. Although the blue and pink are nice for their unique hues, the material looks as cheap as it feels and the shapes are more two-seasons-ago rocker looks than the ladylike and structured bags of the current trends. (Although, to be fair, Linea Pelle is known more for slouchy looks than structured ones). Go for the drawstring or crossbody bags if you’re looking for something more current. We’re sad that the famous fringe didn’t come along for the crossover appeal–shouldn’t that have been easy to do?–but at least this collaboration isn’t as heinous as the Mulberry madness that popped up before Christmas.
